A new session.

I'm excited to introduce a new session.

It's perfect for those who need updated pictures of their kids for a birthday.

It's perfect for those who want to try a session with me before investing in a full blown session.

It's perfect for those on a budget who want more than a quick trip to the big box portrait studio.

It's perfect for those who have busy schedules but want a nice family photo to hang on the wall.

 

I have created a Mini Session that gives you a little bit of just about all I have to offer. And the items that my current clients like best.

Let me break it down a little more for you.

Your 10 fully edited images will be uploaded into a password protected online gallery. Here you can mark your favorites as well as share with friends and family.

You will be able to choose three images for gift prints and 1 image for an 11x14. A gift print is a 4x6, 5x7, 8x10 or a set of 8 wallets. You can have your four prints of all the same image or mix and match. I mount all prints 11x14 and larger on matboard to give them more stability.

You will receive a DVD of five of your favorite images. You will receive the high resolution files along with a print release and web size files to share on social media sites and blogs.

 

Please note that while you can still choose the location of your session, you will be limited to only one outfit. Your session will be booked ONLY once full payment and a signed contract are received. You always have the option to order off my A La Carte list if you would like additional prints or products.

Lasy Thursday I met up with my good friend Jenn at the park. Her kids are super cute and they did awesome in front of the camera. There were big grey storm clouds that threatened rain, but all they did was provide awesome light, a sprinkle here and there and a little bit of wind.

Father's Day / Birthday Photos

About a week and half ago I took the kids downtown to do photos for Bobby for Father's Day and get Aidan's Birthday Pictures. It started out a little shaky but I finally got everyone to cooporate.

Aidan and Layla

Yesterday I came across this blog and she talked about how back button focusing had really improved her photos. I had heard of this before but it seemed a little intimidating and something I wasn't quite ready for. But yesterday I went for it. She just made it make sense. So I rounded up the kids for a test run.

 

 

Layla stuck around a little longer. And by a little I mean 2 minutes.

The end of holding your images hostage...

After the small Christmas rush I had and was very greatful for, it was nice to have some time off to think and revaluate my business.  When  I wrote my post about custom photography, which I still believe in, I had just finished reading a photography business pricing guide and it was very helpful and it makes a lot of sense. I have still kept most of the prices and collections in place except for the digital file pricing. I remembered my own experience with getting my kids pictures taken, I didn't necessarily want to print all of the pictures that came on the disc.  I wanted them because I loved them so much and it was freezing a little piece of time.

So...I have put a new plan in place that I think will make everybody happy. I want you to have proffessional prints and you want to have the files. After a $350 print or product order is placed you will recieve a complimentary disc of all of the images from your session in high resolution with a print release. Another big change is the price of the albums. These albums are gorgeous and will make a wonderful keepsake and it gets most of your images printed and in one place instead of stuck on disc or harddrive. The 8x8 album is now $500 and the 10x10 is $800. They will aslo both have 30 images included.
